State of Mind
on Friday night we were boarded during the night whilst sleeping, anchored at Beach Front resort Luganville loosing two tablets. Of course the police are very lethargic. Since having this happen we have been informed by local expats that there is a lot of thief in the area and extreme caution is necessary.
last night at 1645 Tarawa radio anounced an activated NZ EPIRB at 10 08 16N, 173 10 14E 20 nm SE of Tarawa. We up anchored and went to give assisstance. There was nothing found at the spot, no AIS no radar blip no lights no radio communication. We could see lights on the beach at 10 nm, calm seas. We went up wind from Tarawa to the position and then to the eastern end of Tarawa, at 0100 we decided that they had the wrong place and continued on our way.

Guess they are wondering why they came as the weather has not been good. They gave good info on entering Aus. $380 for Quarantine between 8am and 4.30pm, double after hours and triple after midnight!. Huge fines up in Cairns for boats that decide to anchor.
