Our port side halyard used to lift tools up the mast snapped, thought ok no drama as the line had fallen on the deck. Furled in the heady to get ready to pole it out to go wing on wing. Unbeknown to us however there was still a lot of that snapped halyard up the mast. Once the sail was furled it whipped itself around the heady so it could not be unfurled. This resulted in Paul having to go up the mast at sea to free the line. Whilst this all went well we'd rather not have to go up the mast at sea again.
