wind and sea building, heavily reefed, aiming for 21 s to avoid strong winds to the north. Not much cooking going on, but everyone well, and cheerful. Had an unwanted shower when a big wave washed through the dodger and doused me standing in stairwell. Passed east of Aitutaki early this morning, , would like some nice weather please.

pushed through convergence zone yesterday, squally rain showers, with SE wind change. Evening winds 15-20 G25. Eased overnight to 12 knots currently. Cold breeze overnight, but now sun is shining. Aitutaki is about 55 nm in front of us. We are heading south to avoid strong winds predicted by Met guru Bob McDavitt. Yellow fin tuna caught yesterday was made into ceviche- very good.

At CNI Raiatea, readying DG for trip, Nav lights playing up, may need a sparky. It's warm and cloudy here , with episodic rain. Expensive place to live, time to leave! Aim to go to Borabora in next few days, before leaving foe Niue. > > Sent from my iPad
