Pass the half way mark WHOO HOOO,chalk up another 155 miles! Waiting for a front to pass over then all will be great.
Aretha (our autopilot) is in a mood,she often decides enough is enough and stops for a rest ERRR... Well gives us something to work on. Cuz we sure dont want to hand steer the rest of the way. In the mean time Ill keep sweet talking her just a few more days. NOT fishing so no report there.

uneventful motor sail 23 hrs we covered 180 miles. Awesome Older Adult Albatross(wow book cant just say old has to OLDER poor guy) following us for awhile. Just lost a big Mahi at the transom(bad gaffing job!!) by NEIL Not me! All good here Will check in every afternoon 2pm local NZ time

Yes that position is correct! We did a u turn! We were 350 miles into our route to New Zealand when we heard a severe change in weather on our approach to NZ. It would mean 6+ meter seas and 40kt winds. There is a tropical low forming and a huge front coming North. So Back to Coffs Harbor and will try again asap.. I hope I get a day to sleep and do laundry BEFORE we head back out.. errrrrr Hey thats sailing AND its a nice sunny day today so :)

Another WET VERY ROCKY night but this time we had lots of lightening as well.. Made it through w/o a strike YIPEE! 167 miles on day 2(totally reefed in).
Sun out on this nice afternoon 11-7-14@12:30pm NZ time,reefed in so we dont hit any more yucky stuff! All well.. not nuts enough to try to fish in all this yet.
