MADE IT! LONG night hand steering! waiting for customs! OH NO FISH!

SLOWLY sailing , 135 more miles under the keel ! ETA still Thursday early...THERE ARE NO FISH in the Tasman Sea!! We will keep trying 3 lines out again

eta thursday/ tomorrow at 0830.

Another SUNNY day! slowly making our way, logged in 130 miles. ETA Thursday morn,(wed night FAMILY). 3 lines out again and fingers crossed.

Motor on soon as wind dropping. Eta Thursday am. 

Sailing away even have some sun today! logged in 160 more miles, I can picture hot long showers and sleeping all night! ETA late Wed 19th or we slow up and pull in at daybreak Thurs 20th :)

made it thru the front that had 35-45kts but all is well

Pass the half way mark WHOO HOOO,chalk up another 155 miles! Waiting for a front to pass over then all will be great.

Aretha (our autopilot) is in a mood,she often decides enough is enough and stops for a rest ERRR... Well gives us something to work on. Cuz we sure dont want to hand steer the rest of the way. In the mean time Ill keep sweet talking her just a few more days. NOT fishing so no report there.

Still SAILING covered 170 more miles :) No fish , lots of reading! So far so good.

plan to continue ene to about 166e then head for N Cape. Autopilot is a bit fractious but OK at the moment

motor off :) SAILING for 22 hrs.. nice sail . Even had a great night to star watch. Moving along ,all good BUT no fish :( covered 177 more miles!

all well except theylost a big mahimahi on the transom yesterday, will turn NE in 40nm

uneventful motor sail 23 hrs we covered 180 miles. Awesome Older Adult Albatross(wow book cant just say old has to OLDER poor guy) following us for awhile. Just lost a big Mahi at the transom(bad gaffing job!!) by NEIL Not me! All good here Will check in every afternoon 2pm local NZ time

made it into Coff's Harbor, did laundry,washed the salt off Attitude & will shop tomorrow then maybe off again on Wed 12th... Weather looks BETTER

Beautiful full moon night, nice slow sail ,today again awesome sunny day and slow sail to get into Coff's Monday morn. Where was this weather before??? 3 lines out waiting for fish. All good here rested and Neil is baking bread.

Yes that position is correct! We did a u turn! We were 350 miles into our route to New Zealand when we heard a severe change in weather on our approach to NZ. It would mean 6+ meter seas and 40kt winds. There is a tropical low forming and a huge front coming North. So Back to Coffs Harbor and will try again asap.. I hope I get a day to sleep and do laundry BEFORE we head back out.. errrrrr Hey thats sailing AND its a nice sunny day today so :)

Another WET VERY ROCKY night but this time we had lots of lightening as well.. Made it through w/o a strike YIPEE! 167 miles on day 2(totally reefed in).

Sun out on this nice afternoon 11-7-14@12:30pm NZ time,reefed in so we dont hit any more yucky stuff! All well.. not nuts enough to try to fish in all this yet.

Have an amazing 2.5kt positive current at the moment so no cmplaints about that. All is well on board.
