There was no response today from Sahula on Tonys maritime ham net. Calls were made on both sides of the Tasman. The last contact was very weak so the radio maybe out of action. I am in touch with Customs in Opua so will advise on arrival. patricia GHRadio.

Signal was just too weak to pick up today. Many tried - from both sides of the Tasman. They will have some weather to deal with still. Calmer tomorrow so they can gather their energy for the weekend front!

And they are off! David and Lin set off from Southport today. They will have a spot of wind to deal with mid way but otherwise a pretty good trip is forecast.

Previous report was meant to read 84 miles to go and looking forward to showers. They will not be regulars on Tony’s net while making their way up the coast at civilised times to Townsville but thank everyone for their coverage. Please note that some of the times on their rerports are not accurate as Patricia no longer has full access to YIT so I entered reports as I got them from net control

Hi, arrived on Vila Vanuatu yesterday. All is well with crew. Have to do rig and hull inspection as ferry collision seems to have loosened something near chainplates. Creaking noise to be investigated. So far wonderful people Lin and David

Sahula got hit by a ferry drifting through the anchorage. They suffered damage and lost their anchor and chain. Three other boats got hit and quite a lot of mayhem ensued during the fiasco. Today will be spent sorting out damage claims and finding chain and anchor. They kedged off a shallow rocky area. Good support by port folk so we hope all goes well today with discussions.
