Great bay to relax in . Had some good fishing and experiencing what must be one of the most beautiful coastlines in New Zealand. Had world famous fish and chips at Mangonui last night.... while the smoked Kawahai rested in the fridge

Kyle and Caz on board and we are having an awesome time cruising around BOI. The weather has been the best for a long time. The fishing needs some more practice but lots of swimming and fun being had.

All good on board. First 12 hours were the worst we have had. Awful swell. The wind has gone nicely to the EES and is around 18 knots which suits us close enough. At last we have a good run with the weather and we are honking along in a warm wind, now this is what it?s about...... well part of it? Love to all

Crew on board, abandoned the original departure date now looking to leave Monday. Weather window looks promising. Head back to Denarau Sunday pm to get ready to check out. Wind is relentless here, glad we are here and not underway.

Great day out at the reef yesterday for what’s likely to be our last snorkel. Heading in to Denarau today to get the new crew.

All good, anchored off Robinson Crusoe and off to see the fire dancing tonight, supposed to be amazing.

Well John is back from the UK and turning our attention to the trip home to NZ. Small hiccup with the crew but we have found a replacement who is excited to be on board. Looking to head way first week in November. So few days to relax before then. Just missed the best weather window I have seen in Years.

Tucked in at Blue Lagoon Resort ( Thanks for the tip Rich) it is such a great hideaway. We are on our own and we can see at least 13 boats in at Nanuya 2 miles away. Had good snorkel with the biggest school of fish Maria has ever swam in....... amazing. Walked to the top of the hill for some great views.

Gary has now left and we have a month to get to Musket Cove. Decided we will hang out in the blue lagoon area for a few days. Catching up on some washing and off to walk around Nanoya this afternoon.

Crossed over To Yasawas yesterday, what an amazing day of sailing, superb wind. Managed 8knots for most of the day. Staying in an amazing bay tonight but aren’t they all......

Spent last night at Paradise cove resort, what an amazing level of service and attention. We felt so welcome, and were looked after supremely.. another fish caught so sorted for dinner for a while.

The sailors have left the allure of Savusavu, but omg it hard, we really fell in love with this cool little town. Super friendly and easy to get things done. Fab trip over to Lambasa for my birthday and we are. Now in Fawn Harbour heading east for Viani bay tomorrow.

Back into relative civilisation at Savu Savu. Arrived today and treated ourselves to a marina berth. Off to explore the town tomorrow with talk of scooters to the other side of the island.

Andy of no wind where we raised the iron spinnaker and made lots of easting towards Savu Savu. Got the Kayak out and explored the bay then finished planting the on board garden. Apparently we are going to Greece for dinner tonight due mostly to the lack of fishing action. A stifling 32 degrees today......

Spent the night behind mangroves in Toba Naloma. Super quiet night not a sole around us for miles. Great dinner, cards and a big sleep. Heading further east today.

Maria has now arrived so the winter cruise can begin in earnest. We are all fuelled up and spent the morning in the markets in Nadi getting fresh produce and plants for our on board garden. Setting of for Savu Savu tomorrow. Pleasant night ahead in Saweni bay north of Denarau

Safely in at Denarau. Off to get cruising permit, do the laundry, SIM card.....all those usual jobs. Despite those 2 days of northerly that held us back, we were in in 7 and a half days, so pretty happy with the passage over all. SO nice to be still and get a full sleep. All ready I seems a long time ago. We were rewarded with a fish as well .Thanks Alex for keeping watch.

All good on board. The wind has gone nicely to the east but halved to about 8 knots more frustrations but on the bright it is flat and fine and 27 degrees. Looks like it will be a Thursday landfall for us making it an 8 day passage. Not a record but happy enough. Looking forward to getting our girl cleaned up and looking good again. Started fishing today so high hopes there too.

great day, all in good spirits and why not? Steady wind from the east and travelling nicely at around 8 knots, yeeehaa. Much warmer at around 19 degrees back into the shorts, and soon just a tee shirt. Passed within 200m of a yacht and had a nice conversation over VHF. Love to all

After what seems a lifetime of work we are set to clock out of Whangarei on Wednesday with a direct route to Fiji. Our legendary crew Gary is back with a new South Island crew member Chris joining us for the great adventure. Just starting to get excited about getting away again. We are so blessed to be able to do this again.

2 amazing days sailing with beautiful easterly wind,kicking along at 9 knts.

Then rode the back of a pop up low we didn?t anticipate which turned kinda nasty. 4 to 5 m sweeps and winds at 35 knots so not unmanageable but not pleasant. Out of it now ironically with wind dropping off.

have left Fiji for home. Good progress 186 miles in first 24hrs. All good on board though I?m still queasy when I look at a screen. Have blown main below first reef so it?s a reef all the way home it seems.

Well we are finally thinking about heading home it’s hard to believe we have been here all season. We have had lots of friends come and go and it has been an awesome time in Fiji. It really is an easy place to travel and I have been able to work from my on-board office.

The crew are organised and we plan to leave Fiji November 7

Wow how time flys. I have been back to NZ for a week to catch up on things. And now have just finished a great few days with Kim, Charlotte and Pru. Thanks so much you guys for making the effort to come up, it was a great time. Shame about the lack of fish M and I have a few days off then looking forward to seeing Al and Bron for a week. The weather has cleared and we are back to still days and lots of sunshine Love to all

Back at the beautiful little bay of LikuLiku easing our way back to Denarau for Garry to catch a flight back on Thursday. Will be strange to see number one go after so long aboard. Maria and I will head our way down to Musket Cove and prepare the boat for the week I am away in NZ. Not looking forward to the cold but that's all part of it I guess.

The bar is a must at least once to watch the sun go down. We didn't want to miss it so started at 2pm Snorkelled on a WW2 P39 that ditched into a Lagoon in 1942. Getting in and out of the Lagoon was just as much an adventure...... quite tight......

Well sitting back in Somosomo bay after a visit to church this morning....WOW talk about spirit filled it was truly moving and unforgettable. Dumb Visitors forgot the tide so our dingy was quite a way from the beach. Rather than help us with the dingy our new found acquaintances said come to lunch and wait for the tide......maybe not so dumb eh......

We had fish in coconut cream ( real, not out of a can) with Cassava. One of those meals and acts of kindness we will never forget.

Jobs for the rest of the day putting fan into fridge cavity to try and get some more efficiency poor thing is struggling to cope.

Hi all, well arrived at Mana Island as a strong Northerly kicked in so no Yasawa destination today. Fantastic to have Maria aboard at lastamazing Pizza for lunch and plans for a snorkel at the reef later in the day. Jobs to do as well so better keep at it.

had a day and night in Musket Cove and caught up with quite a lot of people. Shopped up and headed out to Liku Liku for the night, super pleasant spot. Seaplanes and helicopters deliver people here Heading to Denarau for tonight Tim heads off the boat and Maria arrives tomorrow.(Yay) Lovely and warm at around 27degree, no trouble dropping over the side for a swim.

arrived outside Vuda Point last night to a remarkably easy to find mooring ball and bedded down for a great nights sleep. Got to the Q wharf around 10 and were cleared by 1pm. Just waiting on the cruising permit which should be here tomorrow morning and we can begin to see Fiji in earnest. Have filled with Fuel and water and have the afternoon to relax. Love to all

As predicted wind has dropped away so having to motor for a spell awkward....as it will now put us in around midnight. Still the warm temperatures easily make up for any disappointment, sitting at a balmy 27degrees. Last day at sea so better make the most of it.

spectacular sail out from Minerva, on the last leg to Fiji. Should pass Cape Washington some time around midnight and hopefully get to Vuda point to check in late in the afternoon of Wednesday. Will be nice to be in one place for a few days re stocking doing repairs and having a long awaited beer Currently have the Main down and the large genaker up as that pesky wind is nearly behind us. All good on board with lots of music and books being indulged in.

Unfortunately we'd arrived right on 8am Gridlock South Pacific style as we had to wait and follow another boat in. Such are the crosses we bare.

Gary has breakfast on and after a tidy up and refuel of the tanks we are off for a snorkel and a swim at the reef.

blistering night wind changed to wsw and we hit 10.6 knots top speed and averaged around 9 for several hours. Which we thought was pretty good until we realised Team New Zealand would have passed us at 30knots !!! Different story this morning average speed at present 6knots . Minerva north for Sunday at this stage. All well on board and we have a companion off the port side. Egg in the hole for breakfast.... yum.

bumpy night but all well, struggling to point to Minerva, expecting wind to back to west this afternoon which will give us a break and should then be back on target. Need to bring more fruit next time

Wow what a difference a day makes!! Life could not get much better, 15 knots of wind 7.5 Knots boat speed in the right direction and the air temperature rising all the time. Tonight's meal is out of the freezer and all on board are well. Hope to make Minerva some time Saturday.

all on board feeling much better, had our first official crew breakfast!! Yay for food. Couple of breakages to attend to but nothing pressing. Settling in to the boat routine now. Looking forward to Minerva Reef in a few days

Not much of a night last night, everyone seasick. next to no wind and a very confused sea.

Better this morning engines are off and we are doing about 6 knots.

Well today is the day😃😃after so much planning and work. Customs are due at 8 and we are off. There is anaother boat 'Sweetwaters' heading away today too.

Still have work to do but that's it now.

Well looks like it is a Monday take off for us from Tauranga. Winds might be a bit light but should be in the right direction 😃

Well preparations begin in earnest we have booked our category one inspection for three weeks time and hope to head off to Fiji in the first week of July or as soon as there is a weather window suitable. Seems there maybe two or three boats leaving with us from Tauranga, let's hope so it would be nice to have the company.
