Motor-sailing with winds on the nose. Had variable ESE winds between 12 and 20 knts yesterday. Several sail changes. Calmed down overnight with winds switching from SSE to S to SSW.

Sailing with full main and jib now. Had strong winds leaving Fiji yesterday. Glad to have the seas calm down today. Saw cruise ship, Black Pearl, on its way to Dravuni, three cargo ships and a fishing boat on the AIS last night but no cruising boats.

Checked out of Vuda Pt. late this morning, heading for NZ. Wind 20 knots from 180 degrees, 1m swell SW, heading 220, speed 4knots, motoring, 1008.8 Baro.

Anchored off of Nananu-i-Thake. Windy anchorage, up to 25 knots last evening. Arrived yesterday after a night at Makongai. Landed 3 fish, a yellowfin tuna, shark mackerel and a narrow-barred Spanish mackerel on the way here. Going to check out the kite-surfing today.

Moored in Savusavu Bay. Planning to set off tomorrow to go west. Destination is an anchorage off Nananu-i-Cake, near Wellington Wharf, near a kite-surfing lodge. Checking weather before we decide on whether we will take the northern inside route through Nasonisoni Passage or sail out to Makogai Channel.
