Its getting much hotter as we track north sea temp is up to 30 deg and air temp is about the same. Still havnt caught any fish!

Position as of 1545 Wednesday. Making way again after hoving to over night. Sea state has reduced throughout today we now have 2m East north east swell with 1m wind swell ESE. Winds are averaging 20knts of East with gusts up to 28knts. Condtitions over all are moderating over previous 24hrs. We now have 250nm to go to Tongatapu so aiming for Friday as long as the wind does not swing to far to the north. Fingers crossed. All well onboard

Finally got some breeze from SSE@7-9knts. Shut the motor off after 30hrs of motor sailing. Took advantage of calm conditions to repair the seem in the headsail and repurpose a cupboard shelf into exterior portlight covers. All well onboard for day 7!

a rough 24hrs with winds of 20knts gusting 28knts. short choppy seas. @1330hrs a large wave slammed into our stbdside breaking the clasps on our midship portlight open. this is the second bomar grey series portlight less than 12 months old to fail.( the first in nz was replaced before departure) Have braced the hatch shut as best as possible and have very minimal water ingress. will cover with plywood once the conditions abate enough to work safely. other wise all is well apart from all our clothes which kindly soaked up the water when the hatch came open.
