Testing, all good!

in at last! a day late but who can change the wind and current.... at least we were rewarded with a good sail on our last afternoon :)

won't make it in tonight so going slow to arrive tomorrow morning

seas calming a bit. tired of headwinds!

boisterous conditions but at least we are making miles.

weather window for departure to nz may be approaching....

now in baie du carenage sheltering from reinforced trade wind.

enjoying the aptly named anse majic, baye du prony! park inlet with no anchoring and only 4 moorings, so very peaceful... just have to get in before the weekend! :)

at anchor in beautiful baie uere, nouvelle caledonie! staying on boat until clearance tomorrow, but sleep will be good...

still motoring (into a ne'er. so much for the forecast easterly). only have mizzen up to steady things a bit. battling a bit of tide for the last 12 hours as well. @ pass near midday.

all good! still motorsailing. sea flat calm, and sails only giving us about 1 knot.. thank goodness for motors! through reef pass tomorrow.

still motorsailing as wind is all but gone. well set up now for arrival at reef pass tomorrow, with good tide and sun angle. had everything on this passage: gale to calm, stormy seas to flat ocean... lots packed into a short time!

hard to believe that this ocean can go from 50+ knots and 5m seas to 5 knots and 0.5m seas in less than 3 days, but there you go! motorsailing now and may be doing so all the way to noumea. :( at least we only have to put up with the noise for a couple of days or so. now looking like tuesday afternoon at the reef pass...

seas calming down looks like winds dropping. all good on board. 25 kn seems light after 50 kn!

sailing well getting back into the groove. very impressed with windvane. we have power to burn now!

finally have a weather window, so departing brisbane for new caledonia tomorrow morn!

still sitting @ marina in manly. doing the last odd jobs, provisioning, and waiting for the right weather....

still sitting in the marina at manly, waiting for weather etc, but all good! thinking about how much warmer it would be in the tropics, but glad we aren't in nz!
