Sighted Cape Brett about an hour ago. Successfully navigated the high winds and squalls last night and this morning, but the shift to westerly winds came early.

Had a tough day sailing in confused, big seas with wind in the high teens and gusts into the 20's. Things look to be finally settling down and wind is slowly shifting.

Motored south until we hit squalls with strong SW winds. Sailing since then in rough seas.
