Why do my quote marks etc keep getting changed to question marks?

When I type my posts up in notepad, and then post to YIT via webpage or email, the apostrophes etc (like in “it’s”) get changed to question marks. If I try to edit the post and remove them all, they still re-appear. What can I do to fix this?

Good question and something I have been battling with for ages. It generally boils down to the email program sending special characters instead of the normal quotes that the web supports. If you select plain text for your email then this should hopefully fix this. Macs usually go one step further and send some very unique one. It has been a while since I have tried to fix the parsing of the emails so I will give it another crack.
